Praise is given when praise is due. Pa Road range of wines, when hitting the shelves in 2016, soon started to gain attention in the eyes – or should I say mouths of renowned wine lovers.
The prized journey began in 2016 at the Marlborough Wine Show where the 2014 Pa Road Pinot Noir took out two awards as well as a gold medal – O-I New Zealand trophy for champion wine of the show, and the Classic Oak products trophy for champion Pinot Noir.
The theme continues with the Pa Road Sauvignon Blanc after being awarded the 2018 ‘New Zealand Wine of the Year’ at the China Wine & Spirits Awards, as well as continuous gold and silver medals. Two more notches to the prize belt include the ‘5 Star Rating’ from Harpers Wine Stars competition and a score of 90 points by New Zealand's only Master Sommelier, Cameron Douglas.
More recently the Pa Road Pinot Gris has been in the limelight after being recognised as the ‘Best Buy’ from respected wine review publication, Wine Enthusiast. As well as being named the ‘Real Review – Buy of the Week’ by wine master Bob Campbell.
