Named for the Hector’s dolphins that swim off Akaroa, Hector’s Gin comes in flavour profiles foraged from Banks Peninsula. Kelp from the bay in Wainui, manuka, thyme, lavender and lemon myrtle gathered by local foragers are blended with classic botanicals to create a dry gin with a slight minerality on the finish.
Akaroa Craft Distillery have partnered with the New Zealand Whale and Dolphin Trust who are a world-class, research driven organisation who are totally committed to the conservation of New Zealand’s whales and dolphins. Their research includes population surveys, studies of whale and dolphin reproduction, survival and human impacts.
ACD are giving back to the conservation of the Hector’s dolphins by donating a portion of their Hector’s Gin sale proceeds to the New Zealand Whale and Dolphin Trust to aid their continuing good work with the preservation of our Hector’s dolphin friends.
