An exciting announcement following the New Zealand International Wine Show Awards, comes the 2020 Mount Michael Pinot Gris securing DOUBLE GOLD, plus TROPHY for best Pinot Gris in class!
Double Gold is a new category in the New Zealand International Wine Show, awarded only to wines with an unanimous 95+ points by the judges upon first tasting.
This is an amazing result from the team at Mount Michael Wines, including wine maker Pip Clarke. The 2020 Mount Michael Pinot Gris is described by judges as “an appealing bouquet of honeysuckle, sweet citrus and ripe juicy pear. Off-dry, almost luscious, in the beautifully flowing palate where juicy flavours of poached pear, peach and mandarin mingle with subtle musk notes and exotic spices.”
